Beam Splitters
Neutral Beam Splitters are typically designed for a 45° angle of incidence. Since they are essentially non-selective with respect to wavelength over the visible spectrum, both beams appear neutral in color. It is possible to produce beams of equal or varying intensity. Since there is virtually no light loss due to absorption, the sum of the reflected and transmitted beam intensity will equal that of the incident beam.
These films share many characteristics with other thin films:
- High efficiency
- Durability
- Versatility
Features
- Large Format (up to 3" diameter)
- Low Cost (large volume throughput coaters coupled with low overhead operations)
- Tight Tolerance (+-5nm at 50% transmission)
- Glass or plastic Substrates
- Volume Production ( fourteen 96" diameter vacuum PVD chambers and an inline sputtering system)
- Short Lead Times
