About DichroTec Thin Films LLC
DichroTec Thin Films (DT Thin Films) is a brand new company in
name only. It emerged in the Spring of
2013 from a storied pedigree. The
foundation of the organization has been researching, engineering, and
manufacturing optical thin films for over 75 years.
As a 2nd generation offshoot of
world-class optics pioneer Bausch & Lomb, DT Thin Films has
contributed to some of the most significant advancements in optical thin film
technology, meeting the needs of an ever expanding range of markets, industries
and applications. We design and produce films to the requirements of customers
in diverse industries worldwide. DT Thin Films history is rooted in innovation
as evidenced with the winning of an Oscar for the "cold mirror" technology
making it possible for wide screen theater presentations.
DT Thin
Films is a leader in responsiveness, service, and quality operating
one of the largest production optical coating facilities in the world in terms
of coater size, number of coaters and machine hour availability. That means
every project can be executed to meet delivery requirements. This, coupled with
the breadth of expertise, allows DT Thin Films to offer innovative solutions at
extremely competitive prices.
A
worldwide list of satisfied customers, many of whom DT Thin Films is the exclusive supplier for,
speaks to an attention to detail and commitment to the highest quality customer
service.
DT Thin
Films offers extraordinary levels of expertise on optical thin film design,
application, and execution. We encourage our customers to include us early in
the design process so that we can support each stage of a project. This leads
to fewer false starts and a less expensive, more effective system. However, we
can step in at any stage of work. Our engineers often evaluate current optical
thin film designs to determine how they can be advanced to meet changing
customer objectives. Regardless of the advances that you're after-cost
reduction, increased performance, speed of reaction, change in components, or
improvements along the supply chain, DT Thin Films can make recommendations on
a host of business and technical concerns.
